About FreeKin
FreeKin is a multi-activity outdoor app. It lets you upload or design tracks, see personalized multi-axis difficulty, discover routes near you, and organise events where participants can share live location for outdoor safety. The app is provided as-is; we may change or remove features at any time.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use FreeKin. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app complies with the laws and access rules that apply where you go.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Don't impersonate other people. One account per person.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post — tracks, photos, descriptions, ratings, and comments. By publishing you grant us a limited licence to host and display that content to the people you've chosen to share it with, according to your visibility and hide-endpoints settings. You can delete any of it from the app, or your account entirely, from Settings.
Acceptable use
Don't use FreeKin to harass, abuse, threaten, or stalk other users. Don't misuse live location to track people without their participation in an event. Don't upload content that is illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't publish routes that knowingly cross private land or protected areas where access is prohibited. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
Tracks and similar routes
Routes that share ground are shown as "similar tracks" (siblings). We never merge, reject, or overwrite your track because another one is close to it — you keep your own version, its difficulty, and its history. Above a high similarity threshold we may suggest contributing to an existing track, but the choice is always yours.
Reports
You can report any track, comment, or user. Reports are reviewed and acted on as quickly as possible; egregious content is removed immediately.
Outdoor-safety disclaimer
Difficulty scores, distances, elevation figures, estimated times, and maps in FreeKin are informational estimates, not guarantees. Conditions in the outdoors change — weather, snow, trail state, and closures can make any route more dangerous than its score suggests. Live location depends on your device, battery, and mobile signal and must not be relied upon as your only safety measure. You are responsible for your own preparation, judgement, and safety, and for those you lead. Always carry appropriate equipment and tell someone your plans.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the app, decisions you make in the outdoors, reliance on difficulty scores or live location, or content posted by other users.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings (instructions). We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country still apply.
